A seminar on waste-water treatment and the environment
Associates from the Institute for Independent Business are hosting a half day Seminar on September 22nd at Kingston Park Stadium, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, when leading experts on waste-water treatment and the environment will talk about the new British Water Code of Practice, the effects of the latest environmental legislation and how new innovations in waste-water treatment technology can reduce installation and running costs and provide a better all round environmental solution.
Among the speakers there will be two from the Environment Agency. Roger Inverarity will discuss the current legislation governing discharges of effluent to controlled waters. Richard Shepherd will talk about the compliance and enforcement work carried out by the Agency associated with regulating consents to discharge.
There will also be industry speakers who will talk about the new British Water Code of Practice and introduce the latest thinking in waste-water treatment plant design, explaining how the new technology can reduce the lifetime cost of installations.
The seminar will appeal to industry professionals concerned with leisure and the utilities together with developers, engineers and architects involved with development in rural areas who are concerned about waste-water treatment. The event is sponsored by Hutchinson, the leading waste-water treatment specialists in Northumberland and WPL, manufacturers of the most advanced waste-water treatment systems in the UK. There will be a charity fund raising event to raise money for the Northumberland Wildlife Trust.
